Play Therapy

Mending Little Hearts Through Compassionate Care

Who It Helps

Play therapy is designed for young children (3-10) who may be struggling with big emotions, behavior changes, anxiety, or difficult transitions. Many children don’t yet have the words to explain what they’re feeling — but they can show us through play. Through play therapy, children are given a safe, structured environment where their feelings can be expressed and understood.

What Therapy Looks Like

In play therapy, children are given a safe and thoughtfully prepared space where they can express their inner world through toys, art, and imagination.

It may look like “just play,” but it is purposeful and guided. Through this process, children begin to understand their feelings, develop coping skills, and build confidence.

Most importantly, they experience safety.
